I've finished Dudley! He's soooo cute, and I'm now in love.
Click here to have a look at him in all his glory!
He's from a pattern I bought at Fred The Needle from Melly and Me.

Boxed In Quilt
I got the this Moda fabric as a jelly roll from Fred The Needle, and this is what happened!
First block completed
Two blocks lying side-by-side, but not yet sewn together
Close up of the centre of a block
All the blocks sewn together!
All I need to do now is put the borders on and quilt it! (Like that's ever going to happen!)

How to make a block for a breast cancer fundraising quilt....
How to make a block for a breast cancer fundraising quilt....
1. Select 4 pink fabrics
2. Cut the fabrics as follows:
1 x 12" square of main colour (MC - mine is bright pink) (This square needs to be correct)
1 x 10" square (C1 - mine is a light pink check) (or so, it doesn't matter if it's a bit smaller)
1 x 8" square (C2 -mine is a dusty pink) (again it doesn't matter if the size isn't exact)
1 x 5" square (C3 - mine is the pink ribbon with hearts) (again, it's not important if the size isn't exact)
3. Cut the following from visoflex or similar:
1 x 9.5" circle (for C1)
1 x 7.5" circle (for C2)
1 x 5.5" circle (for C3)
Iron the circles onto the wrong side of the contrasting fabrics (the main fabric does not need a circle)
4. Cut the fabric circles

Iron the circles onto the wrong side of the contrasting fabrics (the main fabric does not need a circle)
4. Cut the fabric circles
Use pinking shears (or similar) to cut around the circle on each of the three contrasting fabrics
(I have lightly creased the fabrics so that they line up well)
7. Iron and sew the different layers together
8. Wash and iron the block
This will rinse the visoflex and make the block softer.
9. Sew the blocks together
10. Put borders on, and quilt as desired!
I'll be teaching this quilt at fredtheneedle sometime in the new year. We will be making extra blocks to make a quilt to donate to breast cancer research.
If you live in Western Sydney and want to come along, let me know!

Churn Dash Quilt
Between study today, I quilted a quilt top that I had made a few months ago. I am listing it on my etsy store site, but I love the 1930's repo prints.
